Dr. Katrina Foster currently serves as the principal of Hampden Elementary/Middle School.
A native of Baltimore and a proud graduate of Baltimore City Public Schools, Dr. Foster earned her undergraduate degree in English, Writing, and Rhetoric from Pepperdine University, her Masters of Arts in Teaching, Administration & Supervision Certificate, and Doctorate of Education in Entrepreneurial Leadership from the Johns Hopkins University School of Education. She served as a high school English teacher, Instructional Support Teacher, and assistant principal before becoming principal.
Throughout her career, Dr. Foster has been able to cultivate a positive, learning-focused culture that has produced an increase in student attendance and overall academic achievement. She firmly believes that education is the key to ignite social change, and she is committed to working relentlessly to ensure that all of her students achieve their fullest potential.
Dr. Foster lives in Baltimore with her husband Timothy, son TJ, and dog Sophie.

DeVera Miller Maxwell is an accomplished individual with a passion for education, media arts, and community involvement. Born and raised with a love for language and literature, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in English with a focus on Media Arts from Coppin State College, where she developed a keen eye for storytelling and communication through various media platforms.
Recognizing the importance of continuous learning, DeVera pursued further education and obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). Equipped with a deep understanding of education and the power of knowledge, she dedicated her career to making a positive impact in the lives of students and the school community.
Currently serving as Assistant Principal, DeVera Miller Maxwell uses her expertise in English and media arts to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and effective communication among students. She is passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that fosters personal growth and academic success.
Outside of her professional life, DeVera is a devoted mother to two daughters, NaShya and Tiarra Maxwell, whom she constantly supports and empowers to pursue their own dreams and aspirations.
DeVera is also an active member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., where she actively engages in community service and upliftment initiatives. She believes in the importance of giving back and making a positive impact on the lives of others.
